Getting started and growing
If you have an agent, ask what kind of pictures they want in your portfolio to make it better. Discuss these preferences with your photographer.
Making a mood board is important so everyone knows the creative direction for the shoot. It helps keep everyone on track. This can simply be a Pinterest board.
Having a makeup artist and wardrobe stylist on set is always a good idea. It’s recommended to have different looks, with 3-4 outfit changes throughout the day.
Typically, 2-3 final images from each look are ideal for a comprehensive portfolio.
Good sleep before the shoot is crucial.

You found me! You fill out the application form where you'll choose options, and provide all the nitty gritty details about your goals.
Usually we'll have a call discuss what you're looking for in your shoot and more details on the process. Deposit will be taken and a shoot date scheduled.
The big day! Shot either in studio, or in your favourite location in and around Calgary. I'll guide you through posing and make the process fun and enjoyable.
Usually within 24 hours I'll send you an online gallery where you can preview all your photos and choose the ones you want retouched and delivered.
After you make your final selections I do detailed retouching to make sure you look your best. Clean up stray hairs, remove the pimple that awkwardly showed up on shoot day, and perfect the colours.
When edits are done I'll send you a new gallery that you can download your photos from. You'll have the link for a year so lots of time to download and save.
